no hope for escape

Hello all,
this is my first post here.
I love so many of the images here that I thought I should share some of mine.

This is a piece I did for the cover of an upcoming sci-fi novella.

I created it in Lightwave & Vue 6 xStream.

You may have seen it on eon's site as it was picture of the day some time ago.

I hope you like it.

Rob

A '70's look? More like out of the '50's. A rocket with side pods with a Russian star. That's a classic design from that era. Kinda Robert Heinlein stuff. All I can think of is his novel 'Have Space Suit, Will Travel'. I love the scene with it being overgrown and the crew are still using it as a base of sorts. Talk about 'Lost in Space'. Cool.

Its nice work, seems a bit strange seeing green healthy trees grow out of stony ground that has no grass, while the one dead tree seems to be growing out of grassy and presumably soil rich area.

Hey guys,
thanks for the warm welcome.
And the kind comments.
Looking back at it I can see a few things I would change but overall I am happy with it.
Onward to better things...

Welcome to SFM!
Very nice pic, it reminds me of one the 50’s B-movies. I can’t remember the name of the film, but they go to Mars and spend a year there. In the last week, they start to have “Marsquacks” and find the planet is made up of octagons. Another Marsquack and the ship start to slant, if they don’t take off. They would be trapped on Mars.

ALL GOOD THINGS, ARE WHAT YOU LEAVE BEHIND!
