Here We Go Again...

Hello there... I thought I would try again. Thanks to all who helped me out earlier. I wouldn't want to cause any problems. Hope you like this picture. I experimented with the lights and colors. I think it turned out alright.

Nice composition. The colour is well done but the shadows doesnt match the background perfectly.
I would add some engine glow to the SD. You can make them quite easy with photoshop.

I'll try to adjust for the shadows. I know they are off. Couldn't decide which way to turn the light. But I think there are too much shadows. Maybe need fewer shadows.

Is it just me or is the bump map on the Star Destroyer a bit melted-looking, making it look a bit like it is made out of recycled paper? It looks like the bump map may be a bit blurred - possibly filtered by your app. When I use textures which need to remain crisply sharp I turn off filtering in my app. The setting I play with is mip-mapping in Maya. I also tend to do a lot of the panels on large ships in shine rather than bump (on the scale of a star destroyer the panels would have to be massively displaced or have huge gaps between for the edges to be visible at this distance!), but YMMV.

And yeah, engine glow would look good, in photoshop you could try just duplicating the glowing parts of the engines on to a separate layer over background, adding a gaussian blur of appropriate magnitude and screening it over the image.

The world needs more purple-hued images of Star Destroyers

Ack ack ack. Ack ack! ACK ACK ACK!

The colors are great. I like the shadow but your engines need some work, there is a great tutorial on how to do it and I think it's on SFM.
