A few words about 3D Total

It all started in August 1999 as a project to make a simple 3D resource site. . . . Then in July 2001 we released Version 2of the 3DTotal site,which was seen by 100,000 visitors each month. The latest figures show a tremendous growth to over 1.5 million monthly visitor sessions.

We have many updates and site improvements planned which will increase traffic and revenue, which in turn will be reinvested creating a cycle of continued growth for 3D Total. For now, please enjoy the sites daily news on the frontpage, free model libraries, galleries, interviews, articles , tutorials and products. Stay tuned for the forthcoming features :-

I'd like to mention from personal experience and archived communications with the forum staff that they have NO POLICY about PLAGIARISM or MESH THEFT. In other words, if you find someone on this site has stolen your stuff, tough luck getting them to take it down. Unfortunate, but true. Check out the thread 'Burn planet' around page 11 and you will see stolen components fo the Kerchan I made from a couple of years ago, still on the site.

I absolutely hate sites that have no plagirism policy, if it's stolen, take it down, simple.

Hello Rick,

Plagiarism is a frowned upon in the 3D community, whether it’s in our forums or other forums or websites. We do not condone people that do this and though we don’t have rules or restrictions regarding this. We leave it up to the individual as this has a huge bearing on themselves and there reputation within the industry and community if they are exposed, which they normally are.
