Hey Everyone,

I've just recently come across a great guy & animator over at the 11 Second Club forums, Jason Ryan. Some of you might have heard of him, many have at least seen some of his work (Chicken Little, Disney's Dinosaur, Fantasia). He was one of the first crew of mentors at Animation Mentor, and is currently a Supervising Animator at Dreamworks, where he's working on the film: Monsters versus Aliens.

His site has recently gone live where he has produced some amazing tutorials for a very reasonal price. I've only gone through the free Ramp Up videos (also available on the site) and have already learned a great deal. What's more, he's teaching the principles of animation, so though he's using Maya in the tutorials, you can apply the principlas to other 3D apps. I'm most familiar with LightWave 3D & just downloaded the free PLE of Maya to follow along.

So anyone looking for a great resource on animation/character animation, from someone in the industry, I think needs to give this a serious look... There is more information on his site (bio, tutorial examples, etc.): http://www.jasonryananimation.com/

I'm a tool of the gods.
