Hiya,

VertexColourPlus is a brand new set of tools for Maya to assist those who are frequently working with vertex colours. We're thinking this will mostly be games developers, especially games on lower-end hardware like the Wii, DS, PSP, Mobile phones, etc..



It's not finished yet, but we thought it'd be good to get a preview version out there so you can try it out and see what you think. All feedback highly encouraged.

Here are some of the features:

• auto installer and uninstaller
• supports Windows 32bit Maya: 6.0, 6.5, 7.0, 8.0, 8.5 & 2008 (ext 1+2)
• supports Windows 64bit Maya: 8.5 & 2008 (ext 1+2)
• colour sliders which update the mesh in realtime for maximum visual feedback
• colour sliders include:
  • Red, Green, Blue, Alpha,
  • Yellow, Cyan, Magenta,
  • Hue, Saturation, Value
  • Brightness, Contast
  • Levels
• channel button adjustments for small tweaks
• sharpen and blur filter
• erode and dilate filter
• an apply colour tool with:
  • synced RGB and HSV sliders
  • Photoshop blend modes
  • ability to paint (thought at the moment this is slow)
  • colour swatches including alpha
• gradient tool:
  • X, Y & Z axis gradients
  • spherical gradients
  • standard gradient repeat options
  • Photoshop blend modes
• shortcuts to common Maya operations
• channel inverter
• a colour inspector which gives details about your selection:
  • min and max channel values for RGBA
  • average colour
  • number of colours
• grab colours from normals
