I'm pleased to announce Montage Studio's third training DVD has hit the (digital) shelves! Meant as a crash course in modeling with Blender for newer users, this training DVD takes the viewer through the basics of the interface, navigation, modeling, etc. Then puts all of it to the test with a step-by-step modeling exercise in creating your first character!

This is part 1 in what will eventually be a three-part DVD series:
  • Part 1: modeling
  • Part 2: texturing/rendering
  • Part 3: animation

But for now head on over our DVDs page for more info on the DVD, including it's content, screenshots and even a sample video clip!

The DVD includes each section as an independent video clip in .mov format at 1024 x 768, all of the .blend files for each stage of the process, the reference image, a "Blender Resources document, and a html interface for easy navigation of the videos.
