Hey everyone! I wanted to share a new company and website with all of you - Digital Apprentice Workshop. Some of you might recognize the name - it's been in the works for some time now.

We have some pretty cool features on www.digitalapprentice.net that I think many of you might find fun and exciting. The site features downloadable content (DVD content coming soon) from professional artists working in Games and Film. I just released my first series for animation called "Animation Foundations" - this one is designed for aspiring animators and people who may want to take a stab at animation for the first time. I didn't skip or hide any steps in these videos - it's all right there on screen click for click. I'm giving away one of the chapters for free - so go ahead and check it out and let me know what you think!

I also am excited to mention that we have a Amazing 3D Modeling Competition! This competition is open for registration right now and is FREE to enter. The event is sponsored by Softimage - Pixologic - Luxology & Wacom! The prizes lined up are pretty impressive... including the new Softimage 7.0! We have an All Star line of judges that are artists who have worked on projects like: Half-Life 2, War of the Worlds, Hellgate London, Star Wars Episode 2, Resident Evil 5, Matrix 2 & 3, Team Fortress 2 and James Camerons' up coming scifi epic - Avatar. This should be a pretty awesome... definitely something all you modelers should check out!

We also have some cool interviews and production spotlight features on the site - we will be adding exclusive interviews and behind the scenes type articles each month. Right now we have Cgtalk resident JELMER BOSKMA on the site and a video interview that we are very grateful to have has the opportunity to shoot with legend, RAY HARRHAUSEN Plus an Epic Games - Unreal Tournament 3 Xbox360 production feature interview with lead Concept Artist, JAY HAWKINS - Lead Artists, PAUL JONES - Senior Animator, SCOTT DORRSETT!
