Atempt at Star Destroyer

I'm having a little problem with modeling a Star Destroyer

As you can see I have streaking between sections of the model, does anyone know how to fix this problem??

Those lines are edges that need turning or tidying. Either turn the edges or add more faces to the model to improve the poly flow

If your using max and a symmetry modifier check the settings for the symmetry modifier.

That's probably not going to help in this case as you can see that the edges are badly defined on one half of the mesh so symmetry would simply mirror the bad edges on the other side if it was being used. The way to fix this is to tidy up the underlying mesh edges, most likely through cuts/slices and vert welds.

Perhaps to clarify, this is a very rough before and after, showing roughly where the edges and verts are now and then roughly where they should be to maintain the integrity of the structure. This will give you a much better surface to work with, both in terms of the smoothness of the faces and in terms of future editing and detailing.
