Confused Stargate Textures

Hi, I'm not a newbie to 3d modelling but I need help. I'm creating a stargate kawoosh and event horizon (it's not about the model) in 3ds max 9, but I don't have the necessary textures and cannot make my own textures in 3ds max or photoshop (or whatever). Does anyone know where I can find realistic textures for the kawoosh:

and the event horizon (I want to animate it)?:

IIRC from one of the early commentaries, they switched to CG at some point because it was cheaper/easier to do.

Yes, I know. I have the entire series on DVD so I know it. But that still doesn't help me. I need textures. O and how did they use that CG or CGI

You are talking about the 'maps' section in the materials window? Because I don't know where to place the noise and foam etc. (I'm a little confused, sorry)
