| SFM Guru | Poser to Blender Hi. I'm looking for a free program (or something like that) to convert Poser files into a format Blender can read. I would use a program like Daz but 20 megs is a lot on dial-up. Help would be greatly appreciated. |

| You need to do a search on poser convertors on the web - I have one buried away somewhere. I'll post it if I can find it later. Don't be overly surprised however, if the conversion process does not come out 100 percent as you expect. Poser files are effectively custome OBJ files, with each surface having its own material number even when the same image file is in use on multiple materials. The convertor that I have combines all common materials together, but that still means that sometimes the material limits are exceeded and you have to some manual conversion. |

| SFM Guru | Thanks. I don't mind doing some manual conversion, in fact, I'd be happier if it didn't come out like the original, I think the model (of Spock's head) which was also in .obj, looked better in Blender. |
