Question about crediting people's work

Well, someone brought up that I didnt put credits on my WIP images. Now I read the rules more carefully and I'll be crediting all images I post, both WIP and final products.

Question is, how do you usually credit folk. I browsed through the 3D gallery, and most often it's like "Mesh by so and so" "background by so and so" and "image by so and so".

Does mesh include both modeling and texturing? Does making an image include lighting?

What if not the same person modeled and textured the object?

Thanx

you take note when you download the model, if it says someone else textured it then you credit them aswell, if it doesn't then you don't have to worry about it

I pity the fool!

Generally yes, but sometimes people improve or make their own textures for someone else's model. it's best to credit everyone involved

It was me who raised the point in your thread if I remember right... Generally, it's better to credit if you are not sure than to not credit as it removes the element of doubt

unofficial speed modelling challenge #1 - Communication devices

My random WIP thread which includes some hints and tips on modelling which _may_ be useful for the link above...!
