Actually, I built my first one five or six years ago and I've been trying to do an accurate one in all that time. My last one took me 3 days or so to build and is probably about 98% accurate.Awesome work on the hanger doors though, as freepoo said, there's a tiny bit of segmentation. But, I'm sure you can fix that. |

Downloads: 7 Uploads: 0 | i have noticed the bay doors myself already a while ago. the reason its so hard to make them higher res, is that when i create a sphere (of which i make the doors) i can't make it as smooth as i wish (or, let it have as many polys as i wish) its limited to 32 polys horizontal and 32 vertical. so its kinda tricky to make it smoother. edit: i've improved lighting and shadows a bit. also placed a light inside the shuttlebay. ![]() |

Downloads: 0 Uploads: 0 | Its an edge smoothing technique, that adds more facets to our models in MAX, it helps to round corners and also helps to cancel out the meshsmooting extremes in NURMS subdivision or smoothing... We can use it on verteces and edges, it divides it, so it looks like a bevel. |

SUPERRRRRFAST!!!! ![]() oh, and i almost finished the front of the engineering hull. its testrendering now. should get a new pic in a few minutes. |
