Admittedly the term 'medium' was pretty vague, I was thinking in terms of bigger than a Votoms but smaller than a Gundam when I used it but as you say it depends very much on which anime you choose as a point of reference.

I deliberately chose to go for an over ornate rather than a purely functional look and as well as Aura Battler Dunbine there is a healthy dose of Five Star Stories among the influences that shaped this design and if you're familiar with Nagano's mecha you will appreciate that my shoulder armour is comparatively quite restrained.
As for animation I'm afraid that I animate like a fish tap dances so it is unlikely.

Update... started adding detail to the lower leg and got the knee armour and foot built. Images also show the wings (magical energy absorbers/radiators) and drive pod in stowed and extended positions.

Nice leg if I might say so. It looks like the mech is standing on either its toes or is wearing high heels. I also like the glowing wing parts. Afterall, high-tech stuff always glows.

I'm hoping it gives the mech a lighter more airy look. That that part of the design was partly influenced by Buster Machine number 7 from Top O Nerae 2 and partly by Five Star Stories as many of Nagano's mecha are hugely top-heavy and stiletto heeled.

Yup, so does pixie dust.

Ow, nice models! I like the insect/organic design a lot! Nice colours schemes too.

I'm espescially a big fan of the gold/copper detailing. Is it just a basic material that you you used or did you concoct something of your own?
