Updates!! Well, kinda. I took a wire frame render of the Tactical frigate because I have a bit of a problem. The green boxes represent 2.0m marines. There are 48 of them in there. The problem comes from the sides. What do I do with all that extra space behind the marines? Swivel out weapons? There is a bunch of extra space behind the marines as well, but I am planning on having that for extra weapons and equipment. It's the angled space that throwing me off. Any ideas are more than welcome.

Not quite sure what I'm looking at... but a ship needs all sorts of mechanics and systems, so I'd say that the space is for that purpose! Sweet project, keep it up!

How about some supplies for the marines? A few extra litres of oxygen is always a good thing. Bathrooms would be a valuable asset as well And how about a cafeteria? 48 2.0m men would eat a lot

Updates and Changes After reading all the recent replies, I was forced to make some changes to the frigate. Which is a good thing. The Frigate has grown a bit. It used to be about 49m long. It's now 110m long. The side portions will contain the power equipment and hydralics for the magnetic clamps. The main hull area now contains living space for 64 Marines. Each Marine has his own bunk on deck two. Deck 3 is the Command and Control and Galley. Deck one is the combat deck where the marines deploy from. I may put some power armour in there to beef up the assault force. The nose has a docking collar that is sealed against the enemy hull. 4 cutting lasers on a track then cut out a chunk of hull plating and the ramp knocks it into the enemy ship. I may also put two mounted guns inside the frigates door, similar to a door mounted gun on an Huey. Attachment 29319Attachment 29320Attachment 29321Attachment 29322
