Lull in the Battle

Apoligies for updates being thin on the ground. Have been dragged half way round the world (work-related) and every waking moment is seemingly occupied. 10 days to go and then I'll be back at it.

Thanks for the interest and comment thus far.

That's the spirit! Throw the baby out with the bathwater. I'm kidding around, going for all looks is cool because you have a real looker there.

I thought your engine said Roles-Hoyce for a second. Truthfully, I'm a little disappointed it doesn't say that.

I hope your work trip goes well.

I gotta go with the bigger propeller party. Make the forward wings longer and a bit thicker and the rear ones shorter and a bit thinner to balance aout the lift. If the rear ones were moved forward so their front edges just come to the front of the step in the fuselage, you could stick something heavy in the back inside for balance.

Back at it

I've been away for the last month (3 weeks longer than I expected). But am now ready to carry on with this evolution. New post in a couple of days.

Truespace Back from a long absence

Can't believe it's been nearly a year since I last posted an update. I've been rather busy and have just not had the time to develop this since. I got a prety powerful PC recently and it inspired me to get back into this project.

So here is the next update: Added a canopy, developed the cockpit and put in some mounts for the the forward stabilisers.

Thanks for all your comments. Keep them coming. They are, as always, most welcome.

can't say I'm a big fan of the design, but the quality it just stunning, your texturing is amazing

...I can't help but wonder if you would turn the cabin around 180 degrees and have the front be the back and vise versa with the prop in the back and the larger wings in the front

I like the overall from the frame up design. Like others, I get the feeling of this not being able to pull itself through the air logically.

Looks good though.

Here is some gas for the fire of ideas. Luft '46 - WWII German aircraft projects Hands down the most amazing WW2 plane concept page ever. I have a japanese one as well. I will post it when I find it. It also contains tanks and boats as well. The aircraft can show you ideas of how odd a design can go before it's not possible.

Keep going. Tally Ho!

Truespace A paradox

Thanks for the comments. I know the project by its very nature is paradoxical. All that detail, yet aerodynamically unsound. I wanted to make the shape unusual otherwise it would look like any other pre-jet age aircraft and it just wouldn't would have otherwise qualified for 'scifi'meshes. Working on the wings this week, so keep watching and commenting.
