Man, someone could lose a finger using a blade like that.

Just a suggestion: would it not be better to have it on the other side of the arm?

Nice idea.
And if you turn it into a spray gun you´ll have the start for Steampunk Spiderman.

NECROMONGER POWER!
I Resurrect this thread just to disappear again once updated!

Anyway... I'm a real "ghost" here these days, and I'm so sorry, but when you start a new job with a friend , well, it tends to keep you busy...
Now, part of this new job has led us to a funny work (actually I don't know if I'm allowed to post it here, but it shouldn't be a problem... I hope), make a series of "modular" stands for a possible Playstation 3 event.
So they gave us the pics of the so called "totem" (the PS3+stand+screen combo) and a vague idea of what kind of games would be displayed there. There were 3 "themes": battlefield, jungle race and sport (but I will not post that one, it's way boring)...

So I came up with some ideas, and some concept art as a base:
http://i27.tinypic.com/29lcppz.jpg
http://i30.tinypic.com/30hvwcw.jpg

And then I did these:

Modeling, texturing and lighting by me (except a couple of objects like the tires in the "jungle race" one and the rifle and cartridge container in the "war zone" one.

I know, nothing uber-cool, but at least you know that I'm still alive and I'm still lurking around here...

-EDIT-
I forgot to add a couple of videos I did recently... One is the intro for a series of indie documentaries I was directing that will be released freely on the web and the other one is a small intro for a program of a university tv in Portugal (I did it for a friend, so no money involved, sorry!)
Vreel > Film & Animation > Terra Incognita intro
Vreel > Film & Animation > Papiro Digital Intro

Thank you, namaste and good luck www.jagthesite.com____Ramielarium____My Blog!

Excellent work. I really like the second one.

So these kids nowadays sit around playing these things while a jungle grows around them or all heck breaks loose... "yeah whatever...let's play some more"

sorry, that's the first idea that came to mind. Looks really well done! ...as usual

I like second one but I don't think the rubel on the floor is a good idea.

Actually that should be painted foam, and in the real stand they will be glued together and put mostly around the base of the totems and near the walls
