I love that engine intake grill.

Are all those hexagons modelled, or textured?

^Exactly what I wanted to say.
I like the bussards, what's wrong with them?

-biotech: all modelled and even chamfered...

btw they aren't hexagons, only rhombuses

-melak: dunno... there's something about them that bugs me...

Biotech: All he had to do was model a single rhombus, chamfer its edges and then use an array function. I'm sure it didn't take him more than a few minutes to create them. But, yeah, from previous experience I do not doubt at all that it increased the render time by quite a bit.

I would suggest, if he wants to improve his render times and still have the rhonbus effect, that he makes a texture map, put the background color in an alpha channel and increase the bumb value. That'll make the render times drop like a rock and still give the same effect.

@nitshadow: in english please? lol

@psyco: i would increase the red glow on the nacelles, it looks like glass/plastic. maybe lower the opacity of the red caps to 90%, to give it a little softer edge

Otherwise great job. I can almost see sisko in the full render...

Welcome back psycho. I was thinking that you had abandoned her. Nice to see that I was wrong.
Great update!
