This my first time working with blender so the more i know the better this ship will get.

I think it's to little to write more about the ship. I can't see details. I will wait for the next steps.
@ Tovette: The pink outline shows the current meshes. I think that's a screenshot without rendering.

good start, although there isn't much there.

are you using sub surf for this? thats what it appears to be.

@tovette- the pink is the currently selected mesh. this isnt an actual render.

oh and ice dragon. hit the set smooth button

The way your ship looks reminds me of the babylon5 spin off crusade. the enemy ships (i think they are called dral, drak)?. never mind thats not inportent. cool looking thing any how.
