| SFM Guru | I like that pic, though. Thanks for posting it(I always wondered what the backstory was for your avatar). Would there be a walkway to that gate? Bar. |

I just think the gates are greater than the sum of their parts. Just like Trek is. Very few shows are entertaining, morally responsible, and culturally significant. And another thing, SF shows/movies have a tendency to be innovative in developing FX techniques that are cheaper and better. And partly because SF shows/movies tend to be ignored by most of the awards. So like Apollo holds up the world, so does SF bare the weight of "hollywood". |

| SFM Guru | I do like the Statue idea though. I just thought: "That's what the Stargate would look like if it was on Naboo..." Bar. |

| SFM Guru | the poly count itself makes no difference at all, it's the model itself that counts. Also I think it varies from program to program, you can do a certain thing in say max that you might be able to do with less polys in lightwave for example, but at the end of the day like I said it makes no real difference. Also Ive had a little play with sketchup, and I do mean little, but i think my downfall is probably im so used to max so i cant really get to grips with sketchup at all. You may have liked my version of your Naglfar ship but to me your designs with sketchup are incredible, Ive loved all of them to be honest |
