Introducing a new line of Battlecruiser called the Striker Class. The first ship of its kind will be the "Athena" Shes fast, and tough for a small ship. Can carry atleast up to 6 F-302s.

That is one sexy ship Casper!! She looks fast and slinky. Does she have all the normal armaments we find on a Deadalus class, or does she have alternative armaments?

Why does every ship got to have a fighter bay with F-302?

Hey, the Promy isn't as ugly as it could have been. Nor is it as ugly as we once thought. I think the Promy has grown on us, and I for one miss it. Perhaps the design could be given to the Russians so they can start building their own to compliment what we can build.

For instance Rail gun, missile launchers and such ? Should i just go nuts in designing a rail gun system for my ship (the viking class) or should we get a basic design going since we don't really have any good referances of the rail guns exept from SG:A (the siege part 2 i belive) and those were land based and kinda looked small...
Anyhows just a tiny brainstorm since the SG ships here all have diffrent weapons it would seem
I really like that ship! Interesting design. Got any more updates? I'd like to see more of this ship.

How many ships do we have by now? And is anyone going to nominate someone to do a pic of all the ships here? A combined fleet pic?

I'm not sure exactly how many ships have blessed this thread, but I know it is a LOT!!! That's not a half bad idea though. There are a couple problems in doing something like that however. One would be the incredibly large file size when dealing with that many and that detailed models. The other is trying to fit all those ships into one image. I certainly wouldn't even think about tackling a task that huge. My props to anyone who could pull it off.

On a side note, as some of you know, the main 3d program that I use is Bryce 5.5. Well, a new version of Bryce has come out, Bryce 6, and it now includes the option of exporting Boolean meshes. This means, and I have yet to get Bryce 6 and test it out, but I will be able to export my models, which could then be imported into other programs. That is, IF anyone would want me to in the first place. But I will have that option soon in case anyone would like me to.

I think I've expressed interest in more than a couple of your ships for just that purpose...

Important Bulletin
I have nothing important to report at this time.....

I love the idea, but another problem would be making all the ships visible in the the image. The range ship sizes in this thread is huge. They range in size from less than a foot (Tau'Ri Walking Submunitions), and slightly larger than the average man, (the smallest fighters) to over 800 meters! Just trying to make all the ships visible would be a huge undertaking. It would need to be a series of separate images, one for each size range. But if anyone wants to undertake the task, go for it.

I've finally gotten started on a proper version of an idea i've had for a troop/cargo ship that would be roughly the size of a Goa'uld cargo ship.

Once i can get onto my brothers laptop (it's the only place we have 3D Max here) i can get some screen shots and post them here and probably create a thread of its own.

One sticking point that i've got is a name for it, i really have no clue about all the Greek myths that SG PTB use for the ship names so if anyone knows a good site to get an appropriate Greek name for the ship then i'll be greatful.

Angel's Reach

Don S Davis 1942-2008. Godspeed and thank you

Here ya go! It's the best site I've ever seen for all the mythologies.

Encyclopedia Mythica: Mythology

It covers ALL the world's mythologies too. Even Ba'al is in there. YUP! He is a real mythological figure. He's from Judaic mythology. Can you believe that!! He's real!! LOL!!! I guess the guys from SG really did do their homework!
