| SFM Guru | @Dallidas I know I'm really lazy when it comes to adding stars to my images. I tend to try and make the image work as well as I can with the lighting that I tend to just leave it at that without adding any stars. Maybe I should start doing that thought. @lennier1 I usually only use this thread for major updates but previously it's been one of the most popular threads in the forum and it's been relegated to just some other thread at the moment so I wanted to try and inject some life into it |

Downloads: 0 Uploads: 0 | ill contribute to this thread in a few days....my design will be based off of a actuall carrier ship from the navy, built for space... the reason for this is many of the deck inside and designs, and current equipment will be used in the making of this ship, as such no such major major manufactuering stuff will be needed and will greatly reduce the cost, pluss besides the engine it might look like a new carrier design for the sea and thrawt off minor security breaches... this is going to be a very big big ship, probably about the maxium size for the ship, but its not a gun boat and will not be used as such...the bulk of the ship will be incorporting new multishield techonology for extended battles, and a bay of heavy fighters capable of carrying in excess of 200 for defense... i invision this ship to be used as a cover ship much like the promethous was ill suited to do over antartica... this ship will be designed to swoop into a battle between two ships, bring it port side, using its advanced heavy shields as a buffer between the fighting ships...it will have a medium weapon type but nothing to use to win a fight...while its side is exposed the other side will be used to launch in upwards of 20 fighters at a time, the advance runway and design will allow it to look like a floating defence platform... also for all sense purposes, this will be designed as a command ship and incorporate such technology...there will be little room for weapons as the hyper drive and shields and fighters is the bluk of its design...deadalus class ship took three hits from the ori in the episode, with the new shield technology the hope is to achieve up to 10 before sheild integrity is lost..by then the fighters will be launched and the ship flown to a safer command distance |

It helps you keep your energy level up. I know, I should talk. I've been working on a scene for Raynor about 99% of the time lately. In fact, the scene I'm working on has over 6 million polygons now and is up to 138MB. And I still have about 1-2 million polygons to go yet. All I can say is Ouch! Nice posts guys. Nice to see some updates. I know the lack of SG on TV doesn't help spur the "fever", so I can understand the slowdown a little. Hopefully we can keep this going for a while, or until the Server Boss tells us we are getting too big. To which I'd ask this, if I can have my pants let out when I get fat, can't that be done here too? ![]() Anyways, keep up the good work guys. And keep the models and updates coming. |
