| ok, I tried to update the Tollan Ion Cannon as per suggestion. I did about the best I could. There are not a lot of pictures of it, just one decent one. It's hard to gauge scale and dimensions and all the geometry from that one pic. Add to it I'm using an limited program and I'm not the best modeler out there, and it makes it even more difficult. I would definitely not call this a "replica" of the Tollan Ion Cannon. Think of it more as a "paraphrase" rather than a direct "quote". Figuritively speaking. I do believe however, that it will be more recognizable and familiar than what I was using before. It's untextured as of yet. I'll tackle that a little later, after I've had some sleep. Any better? C&C? |

| Oh yeah, I forgot to uplaod this. It's an update to the Tollan pic I am working on for Raynor. I completely replaced the building on the right. I'm much happier with this new one....I think. LOL. I've also started the process of replacing the older textures that just weren't working right. I'm now using textures that are 2500 x 1900, yeah I know, that is huge. And they are REAL pictures of REAL materials. Took me a while to get the better textures, but now that I have them....anyways. I forgot the Tollan stargate was smaller than normal, so I corrected that. Replaced the texture of the ruins at the back left, used new brick texture. And now, the building I completely replaced, you can now actually go inside and look out onto the square. I did a test render and it was pretty cool looking out from inside the building onto the scene, especially the reflection of the room in the glass that I was looking out from. And most importantly, I tweeked the shadows a bit. I didn't change the light levels at all, or the tint of it, just lowered the shadows from 90% to 60%. Not sure if I'll take it down any lower. Oh, and I fixed the scale of the park benches too. Any better? Whatcha think? |

| Bryce 5.5. Can you believe that?!! It's not the best program for doing complex geometry. I don't know Max or Lightwave enough do much yet. All of the work I have done so far has been done in Bryce. Although, I have done some little and simple pieces in Max, but then brought them into Bryce to assemble into a larger model/scene. I do that whenever I can. Why? Is it bad or something? |

| SFM Oracle | the new render looks good! I have to crits though. the people and light posts seem to large for the buildings and trees IMO and ,I cant really tell, but it looks like you have the tollan version of a stargate in there. If you do that wouldnt be correct if this was their original homeworld. It would just be a normal one. looksing great none the less. Maybe lower the key light to give some more shadows though. |

And, for it's intended use, it might work well to have something slightly different but still have a family resemblance. Getting to this point on this one was a headache as it was. *Cue white flag now*

Now wait a minute, increase the shadows?!!!? I just decreased the shadows! ARGH!!!! LOL! Do you mean the angle of the main light, so to increase the shadow length? That I can do. But why though? Okie dokie, back to the grindstone. *sings* Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go....

| ok, here's an old version of the scene I am working on, but in nighttime form. Remember, it's about 2 versions old. I think it looks kinda cool. But again, not nearly done. |
