Looks good. If i may suggest the "wings" being wider, and the "fins" extending higher above, and lower below?(Giving a real "evolving into a variant of Asgard" look to it)
And please, people, if you talk about the finale, please put a big FINALE SPOILER at the head of your post, as i(Along with many others, i assume), have not seen it yet.

I just saw SG-1's series ending "Unending". Let me just say this...I was shocked and deeply saddened!! Truly, the SG universe has now entered a dark age.

I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I won't go into details. Not unless everyone wants me to. I'm not real happy how it was done. It was a little too sudden for my tastes. I also think it was a bit of a copout on the writers part. That is, UNLESS there is a greater story arc involved and there was a hidden agenda for what happened.

For those who have seen it, how do you feel about it? For me, it kinda puts a damper on things. The SG universe has lost a LOT the last few years. But this was a real "Oh crap! What do we do now?" moment. What we gained out of it, was not worth what we lost in my book, not entirely atleast. Sad, so so sad.

@ Bar I had thought about making the wings wider so I probably will do that tomorrow. The reason the bottom of the fins dont extend further is because at the moment they are at the same height as the lowest point at the front of the ship...bit of a cop-out really, me trying to avoid doing anything like modelling a front landing gear or just saying "it doesnt land."

@ freekzilla I echo your sentiments, I have mixed feelings about the ending. It did all seem very sudden as they hadnt addressed that story arc in a while then suddenly it's over (unless like you say it's part of a bigger story arc). It's difficult talking about it properly without spoiling it for those who havent seen it though

YES I FINALLY GOT THROU ALL 151 PAGES OF THIS THREAD!!!!!!
in other news i'm having someone upload some pics of an sgc bomber. It has 2 versions one of them has the capabiltiy of carrying 2 f-302's under its wings along with some missiles and the other version "Goa'uld buster" carrys about 56 missiles both are atmosphere capabile(meaning that it can takeoff from land and go into space and vise versa) and have a funtcioning hyperdrive! It has a crew of 3. also another wip is the CV-308 "Hammond" class carrier ship that holds 20 bombers and 132 f-302's crew of about 600-800 no extra cargo space other than required to supply the ship.It has 2 dubble deck fighter bays and 2 single deck bomber bays. Hope to have the pics done soon! P.S. I'm currently using Gmax so forgive the bad pics and models.

I'd have to say I've got mixed fealings about it. On one hand, it seams to be the logical conclusion to that story line, and the one they'd been slowly building towards for years. Even if it was rushed a bit. In that regard, I'm cool with it.

On the other hand, were's the challenge now? Granted, it'll take time for the changes to take effect on a large scale, but then what. I happened to like being the underdogs, it's more fun and more challenging. I love strategy and tactics, and its alot more intricate and indepth when you're outmatched.

also what i for got to mention in my last post is how much better modelers all of you are compared to me I meen come on now my ships royaly suck compared to everone else! corse ive only been modeling now for about 3 months now so suckyness is to be expected another wip for me that i neglected to mention befor is the zues class cargo transport sorry no specs as of yet.

Well somebody is going to say it so it might as well be me, "everyone has to start somewhere!" I've been using max on and off now for around about 6 years now. The vast majority of that time was spent only using other people's models in scenes, trying out different lighting techniques and things like that. It's only in the past couple of years that I really said to myself I wanted to start modelling properly and try my hand at making whole models, proper models. The first real fruition of that was the original argo version and I've learned quite a lot since then. My only advice is keep at it and dont become disheartened when you cant get something to do what you want it to do. I often wonder where I'd be now in terms of modelling skills had I started when I first got max and stuck at it.

Anyway, can't wait to see the models

As the originator and hense custodian of this thread, I have been asked to upload some pix to the thread as a favor to Scootes. I have happily agreed as it's ALWAYS a good thing when more people stop by for a visit, even better if they stay for dinner. LOL! As such, I am posting these pix for Scootes. All I did to them was change their format from bmp to jpg so that they would take up less space without any loss in quality. So here they are Scootes. This is part 1 of 3 of his pix.
