CVF-308 "Hammond" assult carrier, ment to hold its own and thats exactly what it does. it would be a good idea not to get on the bad side of this ship

WOW! now that is an awesome and original idea mising the Promy and Daedulus designs. Shows how well they could of come togther

Couple of pionters
Although at that scale the fighter bays would be HUGE! so maybe scale those down and maybe turn the top ones into living areas (ie: no hatch at the front and lots of small windows. )

Also, just wondering what version of Max you are using and why don't you post some renders instead of screenshots? It would make this design look a lot cleaner.

just my two cents. Good job so far though

heres some basic specs that I've worked out on the ship

The CV-308 "Hammond" class carrier holds 20 bombers and 132 f-302's crew of about 600-800 no extra cargo space other than required to supply the ship. The top 2 bays are fighterbays and are double decked meaning two layers of fighters that are three fighters wide.the lower 2 bays are bomber bays single deck and two bombers wide that is what makes it a carrier very little offensive weapons other than fighters and bombers. if your wondering what the grey pyramid type things are on the lower bays there docking collars to dock with the deadalus and the CS-307 zues

also Choo I dont use max atall I use gmax it doesnt have a render function on it so sorry althou me and eagle are trying to get the mesh into a max format so he can render it for me.

i'll try to get a few more veiws to you guys in my next post

Magnets? I love magnets!!!! I had a perpetual motion engine made out of magnets! it lasted three years befor it stopped running!

eagle very nice ship! sorry thats all i can help with mabe watch more stargate to get more ideas?

Eagle that's an awesome model. See that's the kind of detailing work I'd like to be able to model but every time I try I just get stuck and don't know where to do. Have you got any kind of tutorial for those kinds of details/greebles you have on your model?

And thanks for the kind words scootes

Ehm no sorry, however, I made about 200 screencaps from the show and just build the greebles using that as reference.

the first thing Id do is probably shorten the platform on the top so it doesnt extend all the way over the cargo holds. Just personal opinion but thats what id do anyway. it looks good so far

Also get rid of the engines in the ships "head" Seem out of place when the two at the back would suit just fine.

BTW: hammond class just wondering if we could see the whole ship in just one colour, might make bits easier to pick out.

Oh, and any idea what your going to detail first on the Hammond? The middle sections look really bare compared to the huge panels on the flight pods.

Finally: um....does anyone know how to get rid of an Ori? << ---
