| SFM Guru | Looking real sharp. What is the thing above the bridge? Some sort of mega-phaser? I am liking the detail in this one. It's looking really mean now. And i like the bridge module. It really gives it a sense of scale now. Bar. |

| SFM Guru | I wasn't even sure that was the bridge to be honest, I just saw it in the Cmd Foster renders and loved it so added it lol. Originally I wasn't going to have an external bridge module (I didn't in the original version) but there you go. And basically yes, that is a sort of mega-phaser lol. That was there on the first Argo but I wanted to make it look a bit more mean, along with the rest of the ship |

| SFM Guru | Actually, the reason i thought the Argo looked so cool originally was because of the lack of surface greeblies. I still like the original concept, of the Earth-designed ship, but using Asgard tech(And nobody knew just how visionary that idea would become by the end episode...). I like this version, but i still hold the panelled-but-smooth version closest to my own heart. And The Covenant in Halo have the right idea, by making the bridge dead centre in the hull(right in the centre of the vessel to protect it from incoming fire). I like this, though, and would like to see where you take it. Bar. |

| SFM Guru | See I always figured it made sense to have what I'd have thought is the most important (or one of the most important) places on the ship as far away from enemy fire as possible, ie right in the centre of the hull. So I might make that structure on the top a sort of observation deck. The thing about the greebles previously is that it's not like I left them out on purpose, I just simply had no idea where to start. To me whenever I look at images of the old Argo now it just seems very bare. I've learned quite a lot since making that version, even just my doing the Valkyrie and the Asgard class. Now I feel I'm able to add some relatively decent details as well I think it makes the whole ship look a lot better |

I know. The updates look good. There will always have to be a transitionary phase between the "greeblied-to-hell" details on the hull of the Daedalus, and the smooth Asgard-style of design we saw on the O'Niell class. It's good, though. I really like it. Did you ever catch Alnair's Achilles-class battleship? It's an object lesson in good greeblie-ing. Bar. | |
