| SFM Guru | Yeah I did, I'd forgotten about it actually, shame he hasn't updated it in a while. I certainly won't be putting what I'd consider to be too many greebles on the ship. The problem is I've incorporated details more from the older Asgard style vessels, ie Beliskner etc, rather than the newer O'Neill and Daniel Jackson classes. So with those elements the ship still looks rather boxy and very plain if it has no extra greebles. I'd like to be able to build meshes with more curved surfaces but I think that requires more knowledge of spline modelling and lofting and lathing and things like that. I have used some fo those methods in the most basic sense, for example making the pipes that are around the ship. I'll probably post another update tonight. I've been working on adding windows around the ship (Bar I'll probably need your input about whether these windows are a believable size. I'm not worried if they're not inch perfect obviously, but I'd like them to be roughly the right size). I did for a few mintues even consider making some interiors for the windows but I might have to shoot myself if I think that again lol |

| hmmm, that bridge kinda looks like this deli I visited the other day. Hmmm, good roast beef. LOL! Just pulling your leg Doc. Oh, and yes I have been working on the Minotaur. Doesn't look like I've gotten much done, but have been doing mostly small details, like greebling and testing this and that to see how it looks etc. I'm definitely taking Scorpius's suggestion of the Minotaur being a intermediate between the current generation of earth ships and his slinky (can that word be used for anything other than a hot girl's "little black dress"? ) Argo and Asgard classes. Mine's gonna be a little rough around the edges. Not to the level that it belongs on the Jerry Springer show, but definitely not refined like Scorp's. |
