| Bar, linking the mods to the Promie. Ive been thinking for a while that since the 303 was turned into the 304 they should develope the 303 into another seperate smaller 305 to act as a smaller support ship. The changes would encompass advancements in Earth tech and Asguard/Ancient tech being added to the design instead of being tacked on (like Carter said with the 304) Did you get anywhere with that kit you were working on previously? |

| SFM Guru | It's what i was thinking too. Although i think that new designs would be better, why not use the technology to build smaller support vessels? Bar. |

But as for support ships, it wouldnt be very efficient or smart for them to have them right now. They dont have enough numbers to justify having support ships and if the ship didnt have cap ship attack abilities it would be useless as of now, since thats really the only kind of ships we are dealing with, minus fighters, which we have a viable counterpart for.

| SFM Nugget | That Perseus (or something) is interesting, but question is what such support ship needs. I don't think it would need two side hangars. 303 was X, so BC-303 could be different from Prometheus and still possese such name, because X-302 and F-302 also exist(ed). Or am I wrong? :-) |

| Tadz has debated this a few times, but from screen evidence they have had; X301 - Goul'd human hybrid fighter based on 2 captured Death Gliders X302 - Human built fighter with experimental Hyperdrive F302 - Production version of the above fighter X303 - Prometheus, became the BC-303 when no longer experimental BC/DSC304 - Daedelus, Odyssey, Apollo and Korolev They said in Enemy Mine that they were mining for material for new 303's but by the time of season 9 they said they were priducing the new ships which are 304's as stated in numerous episodes, Landry said the latest 304 was being given to the Russians. What I said about the 303 becoming the 304 is based on what Carter and others have said about Daedelus being the Prometheus' sister ship. I was just implying that Daedelus would have been based on Prometheus and expanded, not that they are the same design. I would still like to see the 303 back as a smaller ship, either as a simply upgraded 303 or a new class based on the design which would indeed be a 305. |

If you look at modern US aircraft carriers, every time a new one comes out, it's still the same class, but is almost totally different from the last one, due to tech upgrades implemented in the meantime. This could still be true of the 303. Bar.

| Kind of like the argument for the refitted Enterprise to still be a Constitution class. Makes sence and I agree, although my thought was based on cars, such as the Vauxhall Zafira being based on an Astra, but them being two different cars. |
