Thanks guys!

WARNING! PIC HEAVY POST!!!

This is only a test copy, so it will probably be another couple of weeks before the final kits are ready to go(I will be told when they go on sale, and i will post that info here AS SOON AS I GET IT).
Upon opening the kit, i was confronted by four baggies and the seperate main hull.
The contents are as follows:
Main hull.
Baggie one: Port and Starboard landing bays(I asked for, and was given, two extra bays, for another project, but more about that later!).
Baggie two: Top flat-deck.
Baggie three: The antennae all molded on one bar(I'll be honest here, and suggest the builder would be better off taking some very thin wire and making all but the two largest antennae themselves, because the antennae are very thin and will be prone to warping in the heat).
Baggie four: Engines, shoulder "pistons", and flat-deck bridge parts.
There was a little flash on the pieces, but nothing that wouldn't just come of with minimal clean-up(I took the liberty of removing the majority of the flash before taking pics).

Anyway, enough waffle. Here are the pics of the kit:

Now for the extra set of landing bays...

Here is an idea i had for a dedicated carrier version(Kind of similar to the Pegasus from BSG):

Hallowed are the ORI...

There was also the scout ship as well. It transported the Wraith queen and scientist to atlantis in the season 2 finale when Michael wanted to use the Wraith retrovirus to attack other hives. I can't think whether it appeared other than that but I certainly remember it in that one
Ah, forgot about that one. We didn't see much of it at all though. Only twice I think. Although, that scout ship looked a lot like the darts, like it was a Dart on steroids or something. Wonder if it had any weapons?

Anyway here is the latest Gate image... Not sure if i've posted this on here.

Haven't gotten aroujnd to sorting out the lighting on the Chevrons yet... might do that last, get all the easy stuff out the way first.

No worries mate
Hey, no worries. Atleast you can make it through 3 Guinesses. I start getting a headache by the end of my first beer. I think all the partying I did in college made me overly sensative to alcohol now. And boy did we party. Once, we made a beer-mid (pyramid) out of the empty beer cans, all 175 of them. It was 7 feet high, atleast. Don't even want to think about all the hangovers I had back then, some of them were absolutely dreadful. So, you're not the only lightweight. I just might be a fly weight if you're a lightweight. I like the gate. Different. Needs some patterned specularity though.

Well I'm not broke. For a change it seems. MY parents got me a HDTV for christmas, well, they gave me the money for one since they just got a 40" 1080i one themselves. But I don't need one right now. I can wait a while until they come down in price more. I just don't watch TV enough to need one.

Hmmm, running around waving your arms huh? And like a crazy person? Trying to convince us that you're normal again there Jess? Sorry, not gonna work this time either. LOL!!! Ha ha ha, just teasing you! I just had to do it.

See that's quite scary, it's like you've done the whole replicator thing of shoving your hand into my head and stealing my idea lol. I'd had a similar (and by similar I mean identical) idea of placing extra bays beneath the standard ones on my Icarus model. But anyway, they look awesome Bar.

Well, he must have been surfing the brain network with my head too, as that idea was one of the first ideas I had before I started this thread, way back in the day. It was no where's near a good model/render, as I was an even bigger noob back then, but the idea was nearly identical. And that just makes it even scarier! It's almost like we ALL are having our minds probed by the Replicators at the same time. That would explain the wierd craving I had a few days ago for corned beef. Anyone eat that in the last few days or week?

The only real difference was I had both bays the same side up, like they would normally be. I just set the upper one back further than the bottom one, so that the bottom one would kinda serve as the buffer skirt for landings. But it was essencially the same thing, double stacked landing bays. That's just spooky! *Key Psycho music*

It's not stealing. It's an homage!

Ok, got some updates. Included a textured and untextured version of the same shot so you can see where and what things are and look like, and for comparrisons. It's getting closer and closer to being done.

C&C welcome as always. Anyone got any ideas as to what it needs now?

Well that would be freaky O.o, anyway that is a nice idea , should see how it looks on the Daedalus model I have when I get back to modeling my ship =|. The model looks great Bar! but please tell me that you don't need to glue the parts together O_o
