Personally i'd change the bridge tower a bit, make it a bit more flush to the hull. I'd also change the Hangerbay openings... too BSG imho.

If you just keep an eye on the link i posted, and eventually it will be back in stock.
Sorry to be touting the kit here, but i know that there are folks here who wouldn't want to be left out.
Bar.
I'm glad you did. Been waiting for you to post this for awhile.

As I said, I'm completely stuck, I'm looking at it and I know something should be done about it but I don't know what
Looks good but the bridge does make the ship seem smaller that it is, almost like a corvette or gunship.

Yes.
And i am also doing some sizing this week on a 1/1000 Hat'Tak that a friend wants me to make for Cliff Simon. With any luck, i should be able to get pics of me giving it to him.
Watch this space fellas.

Well I trashed the other ship and started working on a ancient-tau'ri hybrid. I gotta say that I dont like the way the front looks so some ideas would be very welcomed This is how it looks so far:

Hi all!

Hey guys, gotta say Im loving this thread, I'm pretty new to this site (and 3D modeling in general) but I have been reading this whole thing (about page 328, post 3270-ish) and am loving what I see here. I decided to join in (please let me).

Attached are photos of a Daedalus model I started (sorry about low quality photos. It is made from plastic model sprues and green stuff(Games Workshop modelling putty) so far. Its about 9cm long so far, and was intended to be a 1/5000 scale model (assuming the 470m length from previous pages hasnt changed) but is a bit short. This was basically inspired by Bar's and Nikin's work (great) and I had a bit of physical modelling experience from my GW days.

Also in the pipelines is a Tau'ri dropship idea in Google SketchUp, inspired by a mix of the Firefly Class(Firefly/Serenity), Republic Gunship(Star Wars) and Orca Class Drop Ship(Warhammer 40K Tau). Hope to get pics up soon.

Anywho, once again great work by everyone here, its really summat and I hope I can contribute.

Hey there! Good to see some more physical models.
Perhaps a bit better lighting would give a clearer pic.
I look forward to seeing your progress.
Bar.
