Ok, spent a couple of hours and learnt enough to make a simple Blender model of my Phoenis Class Dropship, its only the basic (unfinished) shape, and low poly so far, but its my first so I feel proud :P

Im not too familiar with blender, but it looks as though you have several overlapping polys and smoothing issues (all the black spots/wierd shadows)

dr lee, put some side bits or something on it (hanger bays?), and make the engines look a bit less exposed.

thats all i can think of really

I like your idea of a hanger bay... I've added a small bay in the nose. Large enough to hold no more than 4 F-302s at a single time.

I've also lengthened the ship a bit to house the hanger and i've added two engines outside of the main thrusters with another engine between the main 2.

Personally i like the look of exposed engines on the Prommie shape.... Though i don't think they would work on the Daedalus designs.

I love this design!
Really cool.
And i think the hangar is a welcome addition.
What does the door look like?(Or have you just cut the hole?)

I haven't got around to doing the actual Door yet... I literally made the hole, ran the renders out then posted on here and Gateworld.

I'm thinking having it a bit like the 304 hangers where the dors are set back slighty from the front of the Hangerbay/Drive pod front

Next stop..... LUNCH

Sweet!
Will you be angling the sides of the doorway, or just keep them vertical?
