i made a hyperspace effect with my Chimaera.
It is still wip, but i think it look good enough to post it.
and the lights are not so perfect, i will correct that

Well the work here is still great to say the least. Since I'm sadly already 3 weeks into my summer and haven't even opened 3d max once it's safe to say that I'll be on a hiatus till school starts at least, Air Rivals is getting far too good now (my xfire would show it all :| and the wars are growing to epic proportions as well) Although getting a new laptop may help getting me back, keep up the good work here! And mken the second lego ship has to be one of the best I've seen O.o great work.

If people look a few pages back i took pics of my lego ship, the tau'ri/lantian ship i made, sort of a capital ship

now i asked if anyone would try to do it up in a 3d program, i have no programs or know how to use them.
now i have drawn the basic shape of the top bottom side front and back on paper.

if anyone would like to see them to make this model in a 3d program for me, i would gladly post them on here or on a thread of my own...

and im not a good drawer tbh, so i cudnt draw the 3d version.

British vessels use HMS... Her Majesty's Ship (I believe)

Good luck with her, if I was confident enough with my abilities I'd try, but there are much better artists on the boards then me. I'm sure on of them would be willing to give her a go.

Navy ships use HMS.... I use HMSS for any british space ship.

Speaking of which... i've rebuilt the Churchill cargo ship from the ground up...

It's far bigger than the original design, yet it still only needs five or so crew members to operate.

Instead fo the single cargo bay on the original the redesign has two seperate bays, one is a large side entracne bay that makes up the bulk of the ships shape, while the other is a vehicluar bay set in the lower portion of the nose.

As before the crew quarters are set by the bridge, though this time they're set one level down.

Weapons wil include a pair of Asgard Beam Weapons and an undecided number of rail guns.

Asgard hyperdrive, beaming tech and shelds ae included in the basic tech (As is a ZPM port. thought while the ship ISN'T powered by a ZPM it's only there for emergancies) I'm undecided whether or not to include Rings as well....

id try it my self, but i have no 3d software or have ANY IDEA how to use it...

it looks good, the front looks like the daedalus but with a bay underneith, nice design.
It looks a bit thin at the back, but who am i to critisise

hehe you remind me of me when i first came on here.. lol if you can get me a few 3D angles with pictures ( not lego, i wont be able to work from that ) ill try get the basics done but i wont go to far into details. Considering im still pretty new to modeling it may not be the best but its worth a shot.

@Dr Lee, it's a much nicer look then the original, so that means this one will be great when its finished

@tadz, i shall try to make a 3d drawing of it, it is a very large and complicated ship xD as you can see by the middle and end tail sections,

but nether the less i shall try.

what software do you use btw?
