By the way, the 15" guns, all 10 of them, have different kinds of rounds that can be loaded: 1.) Standard hardened steel with depleted uranium core 2.) Hardened steel with a High explosive core (About 150lbs of a octanitrocubane-naquadah mix) 3.) Tactical Nuke (2-5 kiloton) 4.) Penetrators - onboard short duration subspace generator and a small octanitrocubane charge for getting through shields and then doing some damage. The PDC's are similar to an Al'kesh's heavy staff canons, but redesigned to be far more efficient and capable of handling a greater power source. Given the Helios's design, small craft like Death Glider and Wraith darts are of no concern to them at all. It's sole purpose it to defeat enemy capital ships. In terms of firepower, it easily superceeds a Ha'Tak Class ship. Even the Asgard are wary of this beast because of the shield penetrating technology it employs. The Free Jaffa Nation is furious and claim that this ship violates all treaties, in reality, they fear it could be used to turn on them. It is a direct result of research by Area-51 scientists, Lt. Col. Samantha Carter, and some military "gun nut" who believes you can never have enough firepower. I am however, considering squeezing in two small hangar bays for a few jumper type of craft, but the Helios will not carry any dedicated fighters. That's just not what she does. This is a pure heavy battle cruiser, unlike the Daedalus, which is more of a command cruiser or escort cruiser; it does many things, but none of them well.

| Freekzilla, you mentioned one thing that is beautilful when it comes to the list of weapons. Using the hyperdrive to penetrate shields. Too bad they didn't think of this when they where fighting the Ori :P One thing, textures, can you reduce tiling on them. about 30-50% less. this would make it look a tad better, and play a tad more with bump levels. |

What do you mean about the textures? It's hard to reduce the tiling, the model size is huge and the texture isn't quite big enough. Would you increase the bump level, or decrease it?

| Decrease the bump texture a tad. As for the texture, too bad its too small, well it depends how close you get to the hull. You might consider making a new one. But do try a render with the texture scaled up in the application. Maybe it will look better then you think |

| Here it is, my first attempt at making a Tau'Ri design. An unmanned Ground support vehicle, designed to clear an are prior to the arrival of an SGC landing force, and to establish a landing zone for any drop ships. It can also be used in a close combat support role. Made in Cinema 4d while textures were made in photoshop, weighing in at 192,000 polygons. Originally I was going for a transport, but then the design shifted and I ended up with a UCAV. Overall I am quite pleased with how this mesh turned out. Tell me what you think. |

| I agree the panelling details are excessively heavy - they have to be several metres proud at this scale! A much more subtle effect will give a better sense of scale. |
