This is most excellent bro, brilliant work.

I love some of these building ideas. I may try to replicate some of them in Blender. Got to get my hand in. The big dome doesn't excite me so much but, hey!

I like the idea of lots of marble, cracks and all. The structure may well be dull metal underneath, but one of the advantages of high tech is the ability to build more for aesthetics than raw structural necessity. In the 30's Bauhaus may have looked cool, now it looks like a parking garage or an old Soviet apartment building.

You know I have been thinking about that alot lately, marble may not be they way I want to go. I have this vision of stone that I can't shake, but I don't know if I could pull off a stone texture. I do have some good concrete stock but that is a bit boring. I know I don't want to use metal unless I absolutely need to like on the elevated roadways, bt for the most part metal is just for trim and accents.
I have a feeling that I am going to have to balance all of these materials in order to pull this scene off but I have to say right now this all seems a bit beyond my skillset.

I looked at some of those design styles and a few of the buildings made actually look cool. There is one apartment building (I assume you are talking about) which looks like a steel block, but for the most part some of the designs are still ok. I guess in the 30's they were cutting edge.

Anyway thanks for the rply still have a long way to go.

did some work on the level here . . .
I was thinking of short cuts and decided to reuse a door that I had made for another project. do you think it goes with the style I am putting together or is it too space age . . .?

yeah, too space age. As I first saw it, I thought of Star Trek: Enterprise.

The rest looks wonderful.
Looks like a very important building. Some sort of museum or library. Anyway something with a nice atrium.

Cool . . . what about a design that is more majestic, with a touch of goth. Also I was toying with the overall idea and just making them Frosted Glass doors, with some sort of metal hand guards for pushing open . . .
OOOO . . maybe even some etching in the glass some funky mosaic pattern . . .

I tried a rounded glass door . . it will be frosted with etchings, don't know if the etchings will come as geometry of a map, I will have to decide when and if I decide to keep this design . . . what do ya think?
I like it . . . it could be a keeper.
