Really well done. Excellent concept. Pefect tender to Lunar Serenity. Love the idea of a coast guard cutter, but remember, the extravagences lavished on yachts and tendres could never be done on military vessels. Too expensive, and useess for the roles they are designed to serve. SOOOO.... make something similar, but more militaristic.

I'll shut up now.

I think that in the future fabrication and production of components, even hard armor in curves would be easier then it is today. In essence design would not be a problem anymore, but "useability" of the design would. This scores very low on useability. It's however cool to think about.

P.s. I think you will find the features you point out in my new Star Trek ship. (I'm working on very early concepts atm.)

An update

Picture 1 is showing the landing position. Landing on terrain is not a standard procedure, but can be done. Normally it lands on water, like in the second picture.

The last pic is a nurbs wireframe, I hardly post wireframes, they are irrelevant if the model looks good in a render.

I'm nearly done. I could add at least 100 more details, but I have to make a tutorial out of this, so I have to stop....doh! In the future (when Siggraph is done etc, I certainly will come back at this, and update it.)

oh man, that's a wonderful yacht... In any ways possible...

I'm looking forward to both the tut and the Siggraph...

See the Shadows of Darkness, Hear the Scream of Cruelty...

That's why I've became a Warrior of Heart, Defend the one you like, Guard the one you love...

Okay, I'll buy that. And it may not score much on useability but it sure looks FABULOUS. The perfect yacht.
