First is atolm's take on the design The last isnt the J at all but a similar style ship. The second image is the same graphic I think as what was shown on the series so Id go by it instead the one with archer would have lens distortion and would be harder to decern porportions and make measurments off of. I have a much larger version I scanned once for someone here at sfm. If I can find the files again Ill post them. Unless someone else here has them. | |

| SFM Oracle | okay, so be the first not the J... TWhether the last is the J or a ship of same class doesn't matter much, since this is the only image of the lower side of a ship from that era... And it looks quite similiar... So I'd say it might be the sister-ship... The second is really the image from the show... |

| I'm in the minority. I love the design, but the flatness of the saucer & number of windows seems to indicate this is a monster big vessel...keep that in mind as you work. Madkoifish did a fantastic take on this that he gave up on (curses!) If you search for pancake class you shuld be able to find it. Off to a nice start, however! |

| Your model it looking good. There are a LOT of skylights on the 1701-J. Has anyone ever thought of putting Star Trek Ships into Homeworld 2? That way you could have full 3D? I'm not a huge trek fan, I like it, but even I thing it would be neat to use them in HW2. |

| SFM Guru | is that armada 2??????? sweet. I would suggest it sized down a little, I'm not sure, but I bet its not 9 times bigger than a galaxy class. |
