well actually it could if it was seperated into key peices, the "dome" could be qurters and stored, the lower beam section could be cut in 2 or 3 and stored, and the arms are easly stored in sections.

Pretty much if you had a spcial cargo ship, this baby would make an easily deployed mobile base system. swap out the scientific arms for weapons platforms and that lower room for a power/ sheilds center and you could have a small defense base.

Nice renderings mate. I do like the look of the look of the station.

I agree with your sizes, and very nice renders... but why are the windows so different in size?

Well, here's my version of this... Grandeur-A, Ent-A, Nova class... and some other ships in scale. Grandeur would have to dock at the port on the side of the saucer.

IRML made his version from the filming model, so as I've said, the details are likely to be a little over-scaled, so it registers, my windows are more 'real world' scale. On the flip side, those windows on the D would be spectacular to be on the inside of! Huge picture windows!

and there is no chance now I am changing the station's size now, as the ammount of work adjusting the detailing scale would more or less mean throwing what I had done so far away.. no thanks

Yay! I've reached the last page. The mind boggles at the work that has gone into this. Your tenacity is to be applauded. Pity I shall never attain your level of modelling as I would be pushing up the daisy's long before then, still I can but dream.

Hey Red Square, you won't know until you try. The trick is not to assume you're going to have something that looks film quality within a few weeks Persevere!

Cheers guys!
