tobian, how much detail are you putting in on each of your panels on the station? I know at this point your model is huge and in different files to save on file size, etc. Are you just putting one small bevel on each panel to pick up hightlights? or maybe putting a few in to make the edges look round? just wondering...

Specifically I was wondering about the small panels on the last few exterior shots you've posted...

cheers!

Some screengrabs then!

Mostly I do just 1 bevel, because frankly it's silly enough as it is However if you add control faces, or set your smoothing threshold really low 3 is about right for 'rounded' edges.

Hehe well people ask for wireframes, and now you know why I say no often! It's like what do you want to see, a solid white and grey noise, vaguelly in the shape of a station?!

In that particular bit of model, I work on the outsides and insides (the inside currently occupies 3 layers it's self) on seperate layers, and then when I am ready to update, compile the layers into layer 1/2 and reflect it. Keeps it from doing my head in completelly!

You will note, that 98% of those panels are all part of the same skin. I boolean everything together.. I live in my own private hell, of my own making hehe Actually Booleans in LW are pretty robust, especially since 9.2! Spot on Newtek!
