Just think of it as the millennium dome of SFM, hugely over budget, large, visited by millions, but with a fatal design flaw, and no one really got what it was supposed to be... well hopefully more people like it than the Millennium dome Hopefully it proves to be more of an Eiffel Tower!

Seriously I wouldn't loose too much sleep hehe.

Visit my Endless Pluto Station project, I'm still working on it, honest!

Millennium dome is great now they've found a proper use for it.

I may be going to see Tutankhamen next year.. I actually went to visit it in 2000... walked up to it and went 'nah it looks lame' and walks away, I was more impressed by the Jubilee line extension haha

Guess I will have to find a proper use for it

the dome wasn't all that bad at all, I don't know why everyone dissed it

I went there in 99/2000 and the exibition was impressive, and now that's gone london has a huge world famous building left over

I pity the fool!

so... how would one get from the habitat (center area) to the ends of the 'docking arms'... a long corridor? Just a general idea of the floorplan would help if you wanna sketch it on a napkin or something... maybe a side of the habitat ring with a scale so general floor lines can be established... how big the standard rooms are... things like that.

You still don't mind the original idea we all had for Starbase 131, right?

Yeah it's fine to use for your purposes

Well there isn't a 'habitat ring' in my case. Largelly speaking the central core consists of a habitat zone with a command centre on the top, the mid core, and the lower core which will house the reactors (next area to be worked on I think) . Those are serviced by reglar turbolifts. Branching out from the main core are the 3 support arms, which house the phaser arrays, and support in turn the cargo ring, which is largely one large open cargo storage facility for the station. The Docking bays connect to that, and they have an internal turbolift, not connected to the main system, as well as stairs hehe. The booms extend from the connecting arms in turn, but it's all walking around the middle ring and outer extremities!

Ok Just ran a test using LW and it rendered fairly fast for the exterior shots, so it's just BLEH with the interior ones.

and the major design flaw I was speaking of was the fact it's a giant... tent. The Eiffel tower was never designed to last, but there's nothing inherently wrong with it, and it's a public landmark of pars now, from their great exhibition.. the Millennium dome has a very finite lifespan, unless they re-roof it every so often, which will be VERY expensive.. it's not like they'll just brush on a few layers of tar and layer on some roofing felt
