You might be thinking.. he's given up, he's not doing it anymore.. well if you thought that, you'd be wrong!

Not had very much time to do it lately but I have been itching to get going with it again!

I've finished doing the ceiling details for this room, so it's just about finished. I am also working on the next room over, where the EPS pipe branches up and down through the core, but it's hella complex and doing my head in! So I took a 'break' to detail the ceiling panels, which also turned out to be a mind numbing task! Hopefully I will have some more work to show on the core room: Style-wise I am continuing the theme, but then it plunges down 10 floors or so, and up 2, to just beneath the cargo bay... that's one busy model of multi-layered hell

I didn't think that. I figured you were in therapy.

its a beauty. One question though, why does it appear like im looking at it through a fish bowl? Is it the camera angle? Looking down the corridor towards the door... it seems to bow out a bit.

Keep smiling , It makes people wonder what your up to..

Haha no, I got some 3D work, so that's been sucking up all my time! WOO and BOO

It's a feature of LW, called 'real lense cameras' basically I used a fish eye lense to give it a very wide angle for the shot, so it has realistic distortion, kinda cool, if not totally necessary

This thing is incredible. The detail is awe-inspiring.

I'll admit, though, my scifi-wired brain tripped when I read it was called "Pluto Station." Does it orbit Pluto? Why? What's there? And why do the Combine see fit to supress our reproductive cycle? Sincerely, a Concerned Citizen.

But yeah. Good work, man. That's... incredible. Especially that you have some of the innards modeled and what-have-you. A friend of mine once had a spaceship with the interior "fully" modeled once -- it makes it so much cooler and more "real" to interact with.

Keep on trucking.

Also... question: How do you get your thread to display the Application and the "Theme" of the scifi in the thread?

Cheers A-Pickle Yeah I don't think I'll be doing the WHOLE interior, just the cool/interesting bits, but yes it makes a huge difference for close-up shots, where you can see something going on inside. The external detail warrants close-up shots too haha

Yes it does orbit Pluto, in deep space, as it's a deep range telescope, first contact observatory, and communications relay. I haven't worked on the telescope boom arm for a while, or the huge sensor assembly. I have some plans for them, but I don't want to be TOO scattershot on what I am working on

I suspect the theme thing was broken. I did it on day one or two when the forum relaunched.. that was quite a while ago and things keep getting broken... err... I mean they make the site more feature rich

Still great work! Even after all these years.

My only confusion/question is to why you have "baby proofed" the hand rails 'filler' pipes/rods?
