Smith and Wesson

Here is an object that I am proud of. Not exactly sci-fi but I haven't modeled in almost 20 years.

That looks great so far. I can't wait to see the rest of the gun.

It's always been a trend to modify existing firearms for scifi and these days shows like Firefly and the new BSG even use existing firearms without modifications. So, it can easily be scifi.

Yes it was. Real3D was the best software out back then. What I was able to do with a 68030 motorola chip at 40Mhz, 4mb ram and a 120mb hard drive was pretty cool. Sad that the Amiga was killed of by corporate idiots with no vision. It was the best OS out there and remained better for years after WinBlows took over.

Ironically after the Amiga's downfall, Real3D disappeared and was apparntenly bought out by none other than Lockheed.

Thanks for the kind comments. I will give the rest of the gun a shot. Ba dump boom.

pretty cool! maybe if you can show us some of your work from real3d...

Scotty: Jim, what kind of phaser is that?
Kirk: Scotty, thats not a phaser. Its an old earth weapon that uses 9mm projectiles. *sigh* It didn't even have a stun mode. It's called a Smith & Wesson.
Scotty: They named their weapons back then???
