No seriously, nice work on the lego man!
Thanks...I tried using the MACRO as best as I could. I think the lack of a tripod and a suitable shooting area really hampered. I hope the basic design made it through.

Some explanation....the orange transparent pieces are meant to be point defense batteries.

The single barreled turrets are supposed to be similar to main armament of galctica.

The top mounted twins are the size of peggy's main batteries (bow) and the eight fixed guns in the bow of the lego creation are huge in comparison.

How do you like my attempt at creating flight pods that you can see through...

Thanks again...Ice...for creating the motivation to use legos to create a BSG ship and also the design inspiration captured in your excellent work.

Thanks for all you comments guys

I have found some new othos of the Berzerk Fleet Escort ship so I have had to do a little bit of reworking but on the upside of that it looks like I'll be making both versions of this ship

here is a render to show the difference between the two so far.

Comments are welcome

@ scbypwr :- That is a great looking ship I would say that would fit more as a dreadnought then a Battlestar

In your render I much prefer the version with full armour, isn't that the more accurate one? From a quick image search it looks like that's how the hull plating should be arranged, but it's also how you had it in earlier renders.

Incidentally, the ship reminds me a little of the ships in the closing moments of Starship Troopers.

Eric suggested I make the forward hull less Star Trekky, so I pulled some armor off and cluttered the area up with stuff before he passed it on to the VFX crew. You can just barely make some of the details out in the shipyards establishing shot as they zoom in...
