Someone really needs to do a list on defining the BSG ship class. Warstar has often been refered as a battleship class, more powerful version of battlestar and a mix between gunstar and battlestar now?

This is really confusing...

intersting concept. Hey, build it i want to see what it looks like now! BTW: anyone come up with a "DestroyerStar" yet!?! (geddit? )

oh, and the bows curved dammit! CURVED I SAY!!!!

Nice start, keep on going sir!
hehe. a smallworld BSG ship. that'd be awesome and mate, you already have enough small craft to go in it

Little theory i've come up with: All the ships the fleet had (about 150 they stated) are "Battlestars". Its like calling ships in a navy "warships", its just, like our navys, that the ships arn't all the same. theres diffrences, but its nice to round it off under one name/type.

anyone still following me with this?

So Choo you feel overlooked yet!?!

Well you know what I think of this one... Great start mate, I don't know if you're doing a replica of the design or you're going to go your own wy... Either way man I'd change that bridge section... it's just too lumpy IMHO...

Keep it up

PS. A Battlestar HAS TO HAVE 4 engines... 3 is for pu*****
overlooked? always. maybe i should add nacelles and some cool asguard tech

and yes i'm hoping to follow the design as closely as possibly, its just with only two views its kind of hard! oh and please. four engines is SO season 1 besides, look at the original plans, the lower engines sticking in between the the top two! so .... ..... THERE!!!

*wait for alexander to come along and say theres five engines!*

keep the replys coming, i should have an update in a couple of days

In any case, I think you have a good idea there.

The Zeus ship looks cool...I'd never thought that I'd like such a blunt bow but I do.

I kinda did an escort carrier/light carrier/heavy cruiser combo unit over two years ago now using the pictures of the galactica that were published. I know that it is only a 2D model and just a tare-up job, but I have always hoped to 3D it one of these day's but I just don't have the skill to do it. If anyone is interested in doing it let me know and I will send them the higher res images.

Here is the link: http://www.scifi-meshes.com/forums/2...-ship-bsg.html

To Choo... Really nice work! I had seen the 2D work a while ago on another board and really hope that someone would 3D this thing. Good start and I look forward to updates.

Hey, there is a very interesting 2D drawing of a "Dreadstar". Did someone ever attempt modeling that concept?

And btw...where the hell are the updates? Updates...now!

I remeber that! although a good bash up the job, the middle could do with some work? perhaps open it up and stick a few big guns in. sort of like the ships of old

memo to self. shut up and just post the gorram updates

STARTED on the ribbing (thank you biotech!) and ran into a few problems (work, illness, lack of sleep, etc, etc) so i uh....havn't got much done

got a lot of cleaning up to do with the ribbing itself, then i'll head on to the armour and smaller details. Should have something more soon.
