hehe...

well, I figured it out. They are condenser tanks for the relatively inert coolant used in the warp drive. Exposure to the cold space makes the process a bit more efficient. This ship could be an early warp testing platform.

I think it needs a Cow Catcher on the saucers front edge....

Yes, coming soon, plus the smoke stacks and pipes, and lastly the whistle.

Actually... I wasn't kidding about the pipes thing... I think I like that idea.

Smoke stacks? Will this accompany a certain MURDER class variant into battle?

The Murder-Class is TNG, & this is obviously 2160's (Late Ent / Early Federation.) I'd see this one in a split screen image.

On the left, this ship buried between collapsed slabs of rock in a narrow crevice of an asteroid thrown off by a dead planet caught in the path of a sun going nova, after getting stuck during an deuterium exploration/extraction mission.

On the right, a Galaxy-Class parked outside the asteroid, centuries later, sending Delta Flyers in with members of the S.C.E. to scan the wreck, bury lost heroes, & possibly try to recover the transport.

Haha, I am not building this so it will fit somewhere into the trek universe. I'm building it because I enjoy the work and because I enjoy making things that are different then what we are used to seeing.

Berticus: I was kidding about the smoke stacks

Hellsgate: Interesting idea!
