Had a little time to do some adjustments. Let it render while I was out... let me know what you think...

Nicely done.
It certainly would benefit from some texturing on the catwalk, but for now it looks pretty good.

We are who we choose to be and make art that defines us, but there are numerous aspects of our individuality we are born with and are an integral part of what makes us human.

Way too much chrome, and could you change the walkway (looks really cheesy, bad).

Once I figure out how, I will try to share the material with you. There have been a few others on the kerkythea site that have been wanting to take a look at it as well.

I have already re-built it, (just need some time to re-render) The new one will have some hexagonal grating. Planning to put some simple greebles and pipes underneath.

And I agree with you on the chrome, I just need to figure out a good alternative. Lately my goal has been to add at least some UV mapping to each new project I attempt. Hopefully in time that will lead to better texturing on things.

Thanx guys!

Use some brush painted look since a brush texture surface will fit the older look with a slightly noisy surface. BTW, that's a great way to get acclimated to UV'ing.

I will try

Well, here is today's update. The new grates have been installed now. Added a bit more detail. Put a basic material on the large gray areas. I cant decide if it is painted concrete or metal. With that in mind I think I should separate it a bit more. The central core will be redone with a more metallic look with more of the structure being concrete. I also plan to give all the pipes a better material.

Thoughts?

Looks way better than the first render Now you should fix the bump maps/reflections (whatever are those little white dots) on the pipes and it will be really great

Fitter, Happier And More Productive ...
