YAY! the Calipso's completed. ^_^
thanks to you Dave, I've got the detailing bug too. I have to say that for a ship that was no more than a supporting character, you made this one an oscar winning star! now, I hope to see lots of wallpaper options for her because she is my favorite shuttle. :P

Well done

CURRENT W.I.P. Optimus Prime Movie version.
Best Wishes,
Sakura (^_^)

Shall have to see how it looks in cinema at some point... although the big D is still in the works (might finish that off after the Galor actually, seeing as it's almost there )

There was nothing too bad with it in cinema, though I do keep finding polys with dodgy normals every time I look at it

I fixed alot of those when I had to fix it for LW9.0+ which is a little less forgiving of degenerate polygons...

Apathetic bloody forum. I've no sympathy at all....

Dave - A work of art man.

Wow Snowcrash - That really did come in clean...I'm no expert in LW -> MAX conversion but what I've seen is generally a lot more of a mess than that. Are you using a 3rd party conversion program? If so, which one?

That's the good thing about lw-cinema conversions - cinema will open lw files quite happily, though you can expect to have to redo most of the material assignments.

small update here - rebuilt the hull and pylons, the old pylons were ridiculously innacurate, and the old hull had some small errors with the shape, so I started them again, and all as one object this time for a smooth blend with the hull like it should be

sorry for the bad renders but it worked for a comparison shot, I've noticed some small errors that still need fixing

I pity the fool!
