This is looking very very cool... nice detailing! Also, like Al3d said, it would be nice if you could go back at some point and smooth out some of the areas. Right now you have some highly detailed smooth parts and some that still look pretty boxy. Looking forward to more updates! Nice work!!

Hi People, Something of a small update here. Have been working out the main body of the ship and where main components (landing gear, weapons) will go. This is still rough blocking in, sketchwork so i know its not all smoothy and stuff but i rendered out a few views so you'se can all see how its going. plus ive coloured the renders slightly so its not so severe Someone mentioned earlier on that this could be a monster file and I got a shock when i checked the scene file (almost 100mgs ![]() ![]() ![]() )C and C welcome bo

i don't see how this model can be so big...unless it as very poor optimisation and useless polygones. From what i see, you can't have more then 25 to 30 000 polygones. Maybe some wireframe will help us see better

Ill do a wire frame when i get a chance, maybe tonight if i can get the kiddies to sleep early. The reason the secen file is sol large is that there is a lot of stuff currently hidden away. Its a bit of a mess to be honest. The engines are copies of the main (original) one from the earliest pics. ive grouped the whole thing and copied it so i can use the copy as a place holder for the rest of the ship (i got bored just doing the engine). plus there are some hydraulics tests hidden for when i get the geometry of the various doors locked down (plus a 3 part hydraulic piston i rigged over the weekend, if anyones interested in how). Admittedly there has not been much optimisation (usless polygons is a bit much) and remember that there are 4 of the engines, detailing and all. so the poly total will go up and down like a yoyo for a bit me thinks

WOW... Nice concept man, looks very cool! 100mb sounds like an awfull much for this tho, even with all the engines! But what do I know ... Keep it up
