wow, i didn't really expect this, especially seeing as my shippy is still not finished

I can feel a tear welling in my eye *sob* "i'd like to thank my Ma and Pa, and my doggie, and my kids and my newsagent and my doctor who, without them I would not have been able to do this....*s0b*sob*"

Nah, seriously boys and girls, im well chuffed. I dont know the process for getting "headered" but however it happened, thanks. If this isn't a serious reason to get the beast finished then i dont know what is

In case being on the header does not provide enough motivation for ya ...well...as a community we are prepared to organize a gun pointed to your head (or...maybe smth else?). Hope it'll do the trick

Now see, this is the kind of detail I'd like to put into my own models but my computer chokes as the detail level approaches that level. So I compromise.

Good work.

"Never give up, never surrender" (Galaxy Quest). Believe me, my computer would rather get up and walk out of the house when it realises im booting maya up. This is a logistical nightmare of layers and hide and seek and is the only i can spread the surrealism my brain coughs up across a digital canvas. im sure there are bits that got hidden and i've never found again.

AAAAAAND, i do promise more updates once the world has stopped taking chunks out of me

changes, changes, changes

hey people,
been ages since i last posted and things have changed. The more o worked on the last config the more i was not liking it. All of the conclusions i was having in a design context lead me away from the way I'd roughly plotted it. I went through a few ideas, one annoying me for being to close to a Star Destroyer, as you can see in one of the pics. But i needed a design to honour the work id put into the engines, if you know what i mean. Anyway, have a look at the pics and tell me what you think. Its a radical departure from what I'd originally started but I feel its a lot more agressive. I really like the shape of modern day quick attack navy frigates and that is the look i am trying to reference in this. More military designed, as it were.

Pics are big by the way but indulge me wouldnt want to provide you with inferior goods to appraise

final pics attached to above

these are the ones i really like. There's loads of attachments and intricacies i can add in the nooks and crannies. Be warned, apart from the massive cannons this will be a feature rich craft to created the most nuicence.

i think the shield rails look a bit like fish gills, perhaps a shark look about it, if i may be so bold
