i'd prefer a d'deridex warbird... then you could fly though the hole in the middle, like in the intro of startrek:armada

A decent Jem'Hadar fighter would be nice to see.

For now, I'm thinking of doing a D'deridex Warbird, but it'll depend on what kind of reference and blueprints I can find. I've also found some old blueprints of the Vor'cha here on my PC so that could be another possibility. The Jem'Hadar fighter is also a nice idea, but it's not a design I particularly like TBH.

Also, as far as ship name goes, I'll make the Defiant, but I'll also make an alternative ship, which will probably be the USS Scorpion (My brother's idea. Not Cannon, but I liked the name). As for the model no update to show so far, as again I did very little today. I'll have some new pics later tonight.

Just an idea about the new impulse engine design - why not make that a feature of the new Defiant? We only saw her in the final episode I think, so they re-used stock footage or rendered new scenes using the existing textures, but there's no reason you couldn't make that the Defiant with the NCC-75633 registry that memory-alpha suggest she should carry...</trek-geek-alike-mode> or whatever really.

A warbird would be great to see as well - the only one kicking around that I can think of has quite an inaccurate wing shape.

If it's no problem, I would like that yeah. No pressure though as I won't start another ship until I'm close to finishing the Defiant.

Ok, a small update here. I don't enjoy making little details as much as I do making the overall ship, so a bit slow. Still, I think the top is done. There's a sensor strip left to make in the deflector 'head' but I'll make that once I get back there for the other details that are still needed. I'll finish the whole engine area next so that I can start working on the underside.

How much detail are you texturing? 'Cause I can see quite a few things that are missing but, for all I know, you might be texturing them.

Looks good so far.

Basically, all the lines, registry and any very low panel that you might see on the hull of the ship. I did just notice that I missed a small circular object on the bridge that I'll add in a couple of mins. If you think it's something important though, please point out...this ship has a lot of small things that I sometimes just don't see
