| Moderator With Rocks In | Plasma is ionised gas - that means essentially that it contains free electrons. What that means is that plasma is strongly effected by electromagnetic fields (which is an imperative aspect in the design of fusion reactors) and so a plasma flow could indeed quite easily be bent around like that... (that said, personally I think they would look better straight, but it's your ship so don't let people push you off course from your original idea) |

| Curved nacelles could easily work in Starfleet Trek Tech. Plasma streams can be bent by the same sort of magnetic fields which are used to confine them. All PTKS has to do is say that they're a new approach to nacelle design, something meant to increase efficiency/speed/whatever. |

| Will Render for Food | My thoughts, and I'm a huge Trek fan and Trek Tech guy, would be that there would be no real need for the nacelles to be bent as such and Starfleet isn't quite a design oriented group as much as a needs group. That and I think a straight nacelle design would just make it look more professional. |

| This ship is sleek, elegant, and very different. For all those reasons I really like it. It's time we saw something different, and it's time a new approach was made to how the saucer/eng hull/nacelles fit together. I have no issues with curved nacelles, and no problems with any of the phyisics that go along with it, mainly becasue Trek is after all make believe, and the universe can be fitted around any new concept PTKS - stick to your guns, and build this ship the way you want to. It's your vision, let it fly, and enjoy yourself doing it |

| SFM Oracle | Well, as said, this ship looks post-Nemesis, so maybe Starfleet developed a tech that utilises bowed nacelles. |

| Well...it seems that my design resulted in quite a discussion here. Anyway, I decided to go back to straight nacelles (at least for now). The reason is that I must admit that the concept of curved nacelles looked much better on the 2d sketches then it does in 3d. |

| SFM Nugget | I've long been a fan of smaller ships, and this one looks to be a sweet one. Nice nacelles, and cool colors in the bussard collectors. Thumb up! |
