blender Excalibur Class

It has been a while since my last post here but now I'm back.

My newest project is my first attempt at modelling a Star Trek ship.
The ship is supposed to be an escort and patrol ship. I'm not yet sure how large it will be but it will be decided as soon as I start adding details (windows etc.)

I did some simple sketches (only top and side view) and there's a first WIP-picture.

EDIT:
3D application: Blender 2.45
2D application: The GIMP 2.4

Cool. Though since you've already called it a patrol ship, I imagine that it should be fairly small, about 200-300 meters in length.

I agree with Endeavour. Based on the size of your bridge and the ships designation around 300M sounds correct.

Stan: Oh my god they spaced Kenny! Kyle: You bastards!

Just out of curiosity, can anyone think of a starship seen on-screen that has the warp nacelles canted inward like that?

The blender setting is pretty simple: I use two sun-lamps and turned AO on.

I don't know any but I'm not really an expert on star trek. Would my nacelle design be a problem?

It's your ship, and a good looking one it is. I'm watching the thread with great interest to see how it comes out. I'm just saying that I can't think of any on-screen ships which had the nacelles arranged in any way other than straight and level.
